Electric vehicles (EVs) provide opportunities to create a greener future. Authorities worldwide and in the US have passed ambitious goals and laws to phase out the use of conventional (fossil fuel) vehicles. Widespread adoption of EVs remains a future target and requires overcoming major infrastructure, technological and behavioral challenges today.

The EVA initiative team conducts interdisciplinary research related to all aspects of the EV ecosystem, ranging from the location, design, and operation of charging stations to optimizing routes and charge schedules for personal, public, or commercial uses, from integration with the power grid to rising trends including autonomy and shared economy, and beyond. EVA provides opportunities for government agencies, entrepreneurs, and fleet owners to learn from data and turn it into smart decisions.
